Hallo guys: The karting team of the uni is still recruiting, wed like to attend the Rookie Championship of BUKC this year as a new team. If you love go-karting and racing, or want to represent the university in the British University Karting Championship, just join us without any hesitation. We got 4 positions in each team and we could set up more than one team based on the amount of the drivers. The Karts: The BUKC uses the most powerful arrive-and-drive kart fleet in the world. These 115cc 2-stroke TKM-Extreme engined Birel-chassis karts are capable of accelerating from 5 to 60mph in 4.5s and can achieve top speeds of 70mph. The Championship: There will be 4 Rookie Championship events and a testing day this year: Wed 4th Feb 2015 at Rye House (The testing day) Thurs 12th Feb - Rye House, Hertfordshire Thurs 26th Feb - Buckmore Park, Kent Sat 7th Mar - Llandow, South Wales Fri 27th Mar - Whilton Mill, Northamptonshire (International layout) Fees: The cost of each Rookie Championship round, including the mandatory testing, will be £400 inc VAT per team. The testing day will be £180 inc VAT per team. All the fees will be shared by 4 drivers. If you are interested or have any question just feel free to send me message.
