Hamilton is a 7 year old percheron/thoroughbred cross gelding standing at an impressive 17hh. This big, quiet guy is looking to join his next owner in whatever discipline they should choose! One of the best brains in the barn, not much bothers this guy. Hamilton has excellent manners in the barn, field and under saddle. Hes easy to catch, stands patiently tied or on cross ties, is good for tacking, farrier, bathing and did not move a foot when being body clipped! Hamilton is a complete puppy dog with a loving, sweet attiude. Ham has been used for driving (single and double) as well as ring work, trails and fox hunting. He has a steady, uncomplicated way of going. Hes currently schooling walk/trot/canter and has been jumping fences up to 23 in the ring. Cute mover! Ham rides in just a snaffle and has FANTASTIC brakes. He will happily go along on a loopy rein, but is starting to learn to go in a frame as well. He is honest as can be over fences and will trot down to anything. Hamilton has been hacked out regularly alone and with others. He doesnt mind leading or following and could care less about what the group is doing. Hamilton also started hunting this year and was great! Good with the hounds and quiet in the field. Stood patiently when needed, tied to the trailer and hauled alone like a pro! We think someone would enjoy Ham out paper chasing, fox hunting, trail riding or even doing some lower level dressage work. Fun guy with a great attiude and brain!
