Hamish McIntosh believes his competitive rivalry with fellow ruckman Dawson Simpson is driving him to greater heights. The pair havent played in the same side since the 110-point loss to Sydney in Round 11, with the #1 ruck position being swapped between them ever since. McIntosh enjoyed his best game for the club on the weekend, amassing 26 hitouts, 20 disposals (15 contested), 5 marks, 6 tackles, 7 clearances, 3 inside fifties and a goal. MCINTOSH: It does (motivate me),” McIntosh said after the Cats’ big win over Melbourne. “Dawson and I had a really good relationship and partnership the first nine or 10 weeks and it worked really well. Since then (weve) been in and out of the side. If its one of us or both of us each week, if its myself and Blics, Ill do what Im told from Scotty and well go from there. But Im looking forward to reuniting my partnership with Daws - if that happens in the next few weeks - and I feel like I can be a real positive strength for the side.
