Hammer Tone: I want to make a disclaimer before my comments. My kids are not perfect. My kids have made mistakes. As a parent I have had my share of fumbles. I was a kid once and I made my fair share of mistakes. Raising kids and being a kid is not for the faint of heart. That being said, Im glad to know we raised our kids to have respect for law enforcement. While there have been a few tickets scattered here and there our experience with city, state, and county law enforcement have been positive (and that goes back to before I was State Rep.) While not a 100% accurate statement kids attitudes toward law enforcement is for the most part a reflection of their parents attitude toward law enforcement. Teaching respect for law enforcement starts in the home.
