Hand Outs Galore Prime Minister Kamla Persad Bissessar has promised to give $500 a month for a year to mothers in need. We hope that this measure is well thought out and not abused by friends and family members of the ruling UNC who may live in posh areas that do not need this level of support. Furthermore, government policy should promote personal responsibility. If one decides to bring a precious child into this world they should be mature enough to provide for themselves first before deciding to have children. In Trinidad and Tobago we have a problem of children having children. Our young men in particular must be more responsible. There are too many absentee dads perpetuating the problem of single mothers struggling to support children
