Hand Sanitiser : are they any good? Absolutely not! Chemical disinfection of the hands gives you a false sense of security. - it does not clean the dirt in the hand at all. The solution just spreads the dirt evenly. - the chemical can cause allergies. - if you were to sanitise your hand and eat food, be sure that you are consuming the chemical. - most often, these chemicals do not kill the bacteria because adequate contact time is not maintained. - it is also true that most of the chemicals are not bactericidal (does not kill). They are bacterostatic.
