Hand on Jasilyn’s belly I felt our 22 week baby girl kick so hard last night I was startled. Legal to snuff the life out of that child? Yes it was legal until 24 weeks in the womb. But after two special sessions in Austin we passed a bill to protect these lives at 20 weeks. Thankful beyond words we passed HB2. Disappointed it was so hard to do with a Republican controlled House. We couldn’t get a single pro-life bill to the House floor for a vote in the entire regular order of business last year. Gov. Perry had to force the issue by calling 2 special sessions.
