Handover Haven #151 Well done to our Awesome Team Leader Jodie and your Haven Assistas To all involved High 5! What a Beautiful home Imagine the overwhelming feeling having to furnish a home with either limited or no funds.... Assist A Sista help furnish and set up homes from the absolute basics to some beautiful little extras.... All donated by the Assistahood helping Break the cycle of Domestic/Family Violence One Family at a time From Team Leader Jodie: So many people to thank, I hope I don’t leave anyone out…please forgive me if I do. To put these havens together truly is a team effort, I could not do it without the help of my beautiful family and friends and of course all the wonderful Assista facebook followers, keep on sharing and likingJ My kids – helping to keep the toddler entertained, help unpacking the trailer & your patience with the many car trips Phil – for your patience with the trailer & help with furniture collection and assembly on a 36deg day Rebecca – for loaning me Phil, babysitting, help unpacking & setting up & for all the contributions….glasses, vase, kitchen/toilet brush, squidgy, tea towels, pencil case, school socks, school/lunch bag, wall art Maddy, Jamie & Lachie – for helping to unload the trailer, babysit the toddler & helping to set up the haven Shirley – kitchen pack & for delivering me the trailer Beth – towel set, bin, soap disp, toothbrush holder, laundry basket, bra bag, washing basket, fabric softener, laundry liquid, peg basket, dustpan, chopping board, books, tea cups, wine glasses, cake tin, pasta bowls, dinner plates, champagne glasses Alana – containers, bedside table & desk – plus heaps of kitchen items that will be used in future havens Suzette – Futon & shelving unit Emily – bed covers, cushions, side table, & other bits that I forgot to write downJ Jess – dvd player, saucepans, baking gear Jeanette – mop, broom, fan & cleaning supplies Donna – wall art, mattress protector, hooks Trish – bookcase, dressing gown, rug, ironing board, freezer, books, bike, welcome packs Cheryl & William – Queen & single bed, washing machine, microwave, dining table & chairs, outdoor table & chairs, 2x coffee tables, lamps, crockery, pots & pans, baking pans Lee – clothes rack, linen, pillows, fans, iron Bethany – TV unit, kitchen bowls Meagan – bean bags Lee & Louise – Fridge (& for offering to help move furniture for future havens) Alison – bath/toilet mat, power board, extension lead Emma – desk lamp, bin Kris & Elise – chair, foot stool, throw rug, cushions Kathryn – candles, laundry hamper & for driving from the sunny coast to help me set up Di – vacuum, desk chair Fiona – pantry items Erin – laundry/bathroom supplies And to all those who offered items that we didn’t need, thank you.
