Handt Hanson ABUNDANCE SUNDAY, AUGUST 11 | PHILIPPIANS 4:10-13 Life is not about the abundance of things, even for those who can accumulate much. Life is not an abundance of things. It’s difficult for us to find ourselves in the parable of the rich fool because we probably don’t see ourselves as either rich or foolish. In Philippians, Paul is able to live abundantly regardless of his circumstances. In the parable of the rich fool, the man is so blessed that he doesn’t have enough room to store it all. One of the exploding businesses in America is storage. We can rent unit after unit to store more and more stuff, giving us more room to go out and accumulate more stuff. But what does it mean to be “rich toward God?” Is a reordering of priorities necessary in your life? This week, don’t just check off items on your to-do list.
