If we see our future as threatened, we’ll probably live defensively. If we see our future as prosperous, we’ll probably behave in a way that shares our abundance. If our future is entirely oriented to things we own in this life, we will miss the treasures right in front of us every day. People of faith focus on the future. People of faith look to the future with hope. People of faith can endure persecution, pain, and even death, because our view of the future determines our behavior today.
