#Hangzhou #stocks up on bottled #water after #chemical #leak in #Fuchun #River Affected by the chemical leakage in Fuchun River, residents in Hangzhou, #Zhejiang Province, have begun storing bottled water. Once the news of the chemical leak came through people began rushing to supermarkets, as per a report published on zjol.cn. The leakage that led to this frenzied buying occurred after a tanker carrying tetrachloroethane (TeCA) rolled over on National Highway No. 320 in Fuchunjiang Town, Tonglu County, which is attached to Hangzhou. Some of the chemical being transported in the tanker leaked into Fuchun River, which is the upper stream of Qiantang River in Hangzhou. Meanwhile, Fuyang County, which lies downstream from Fuchun River, has suspended water supply.
