Hannah talked for a good hour about a horse she took in for colic, the vet was a Dr. McKelly (think she had a teacher Miss Kelly)..so the vet sends her home with medicine & the horse gets even sicker, she looks & sees it contains 20 sugar cubes, oranges, berries (I have a strictly no sugar former laminitic pony)..she says she calls vet & says This is unacceptable..this medicine can kill my horse..& I told her its a good thing she caught that! She says there have been other complaints at Barnett Animal Clinic (Barnett is the middle school), the vets are too busy, she says if someone has a sick horse, you dont say you cant help, that behavior is unacceptable & you giving my horse medicine that will kill him is also unacceptable behavior her mother walked by, a quick flash of embarrased smile, then back to serious concerned face..fascinating how she blends everything, fact, fiction, & emotion in to powerful storytelling!!:-):-)
