Happy 100th Birthday Bill Doyle!! Brigadier General Timothy Gowen was on hand to help 29th Infantry Division veteran celebrate his 100th birthday. Tech. Sgt. Bill Doyle turned 100 years old on October 31 and a party was held in his honor on November 8, 2014. Doyle was born in Baltimore City, Maryland and was drafted in to the Army April 24, 1941, he was assigned to C Company, 175th Infantry Regiment. He stayed with the 29th Infantry Division until the end of the war and in August 1945 he received orders that he was going home and he was discharged from C Company Sept. 6, 1945. He returned to work for the Calvert Distilling Company in Maryland and retired from there after 42 years. Bill remains active in the 29th Infantry Division associations and meets with fellow WWII veterans and other members of C Company twice a month. A true American and we are honored to uphold his legacy!
