Happy 45th birthday to former UNC PF Pete Chilcutt (91). A 610 sweet shooter, Pete was part of two ACC Tournament title teams, and was a third-team all-ACC in 1991. He averaged 8.2 ppg, 6.6 rpg, and made 71% of his FTs, while making 53% from the floor and starting 61 of 69 games in his final two years. A scrappy player, Pete was also a 1986 McDonalds All-American from Eutaw, Alabama. He would be drafted with the 27th pick in 1991 by the Sacramento Kings, but would earn an NBA championship with the Houston Rockets in 1995. He would go on to play in the NBA until the end of the 2000 season. At last check, Pete was living in Folsom, California, teaching 6th grade math and science.
