Happy 71st Birthday Bobby Sherman! Robert Cabot Bobby Sherman, Jr. was born on July 22, 1943 in Santa Monica California. He went on to become house singer for the show Shindig which ran from 1964 to 1966. In 1968 he was cast as the shy, stuttering logger Jeremy Bolt in the hit series Here Come The Brides, which ran from 1968 to 1970 and made Bobby the break out star of that series. As the show took off so did Bobbys singing career. His first hit song, Little Woman was released in 1969 and garnered him his first gold single, followed by La La La(If I Had You) also in 1969. In 1970 Bobbys hits Easy Come, Easy Go, Hey Mr. Sun and Julie Do Ya Love Me and in 1971 Cried Like A Baby were released. In his music career, according to his autobiography “Still Remembering You” which was published in 1996, Bobby earned 4 gold singles and 5 gold albums. He also earned 1 platinum single. In 1971, Bobby also starred in Getting Together which was a spinoff of The Partridge Family. It only lasted one season due to the fact that it was in the time slot against All In The Family. He made guest appearances on such shows as Honey West, The Mod Squad, Emergency!, The Love Boat and Murder She Wrote. Due in large part to his shaggy brown hair, intense blue eyes, boyish good looks and clean cut image, Bobby has maintained a loyal fan base that has lasted for well over 40 years.
