Happy 86th birthday to former Kansas City Athletics south-paw, Don the Sphinx Mossi. Born in St. Helena California and played his high school sports for the Indians of Jefferson High in Daly City California. Signs with the Tribe in 1949. His rookie season would be 1954 with the Indians and pitches in his only post-season appearances with the Indians that season. He would be a 17 game winner for the Tigers in 1959. He pitches for the White Sox in 1964. His final season of a 12 year career, would be with the As in 1965. Also know for the nickname Ears, wears number 43 for the As and appears in 51 games that season. He would have a record of 5-8, with 7 saves and era of 3.74
