Happy Australia Day! A day to celebrate all the reasons that make Australia great. Its clear that in Lowan we are packed full of proud Aussies who love to get together over a barbie (dont forget the lamb!) with some good music - whether its the local brass band or the Hottest 100. I started the day with a hearty BBQ brekky with Casterton locals, then headed to Hamilton for their fabulous Australia Day celebration. Welcome to our newest Aussies, and a huge congratulations and thank you to all our Australia Day Award recipients - mostly volunteers who have made a outstanding contribution that has made a real difference to the lives of locals. I had to take a short detour home to grab a sausage roll from the Bridge Cafe in Cavendish (delicious), and discovered this great Australia Day tractor display between Balmoral and Harrow. Love it, love Australia!
