Happy Birthday Armani. 17 years ago today on a full moon I saw you being born. Oh how your arse has grown!!I remember you laying with your head in my lap whilst you had a lil nap. I remember your first leading lesson. I also recall the first day I sat on you and in my be prepared mind set I fasted for 4 hours just incase I required a lil road trip. But leading you off Oskar (Beneiro) for all those rides out, clearly paid off. You did not flinch. I recall our trips to the swimming pool. But most of all I recall the LAST trip when the pool was crystal clear and I could see your legs for the first time and the fact you made ZERO attempt to swim until buoyancy set in and you had sunk to the base of your ears (my guess is that you did that very time I just could not see) I remember your first young horse class. Waving to the crowd with your hind feet was a killer on the submission and ride ability marks! In 2005 we had our first road trip to the Nationals. We even stopped in the hope of whale watching on the Nullabour and lets not forgot your snoring Matt and I were subjected to whilst sleeping beside you in the Swag! We even made it to the Sydney CDI (I representing the international class) PSG. You have won Medium Champion, a FEI Small Tour Champion and several FEI Large Tour champions, Reserve Champion Hunter Hack, won Hunter Trial and even completed Brigadoon SNR Intro II (we will not go there about an issue if having to get your feet wet). Whilst we have had individual judges score at 60% (this is your max potential) we are sooo close to an av of 60% for the Grand Prix. Whilst you are not the most flamboyant moving you are consistent and try 110%. Love you to bits! (even though you are a TERROR to clip and a pain with wash bays!)
