Happy Birthday Chris Amoo (Born October 14, 1952). He is best known as a member of the British group, The Real Thing, along with brother, Eddie Amoo & Dave Smith. In 1975 their song You to Me Are Everything, reached #1 on the UK Singles Chart, #28 on Billboards #RnB / #Soul Singles chart and #64 on the Billboard Hot 100, plus it re entered the UK chart with a remix in 1986 & this time reached, #5. Their follow-up, Cant Get By Without You reached, #2 in the UK in 1976 & #6 in 1982 with a remix. Their other song to strike the UK charts twice was, Can You Feel the Force? which climbed to #5 in 1979 & #24 in 1986. Other hits include, Youll Never Know What Youre Missing, Loves Such a Wonderful Thing, Whenever You Want My Love, Rainin Through My Sunshine, Boogie Down (Get Funky Now), plus many others. They wrote the classic song, Children of the Ghetto which apart from themselves recording it, Philip Bailey, Courtney Pine & others have also. In 2005 they were back in the UK top 10 with,The Freeloaders - So Much Love To Give ft. The Real Thing. They still tour the UK. GARY
