Happy Birthday Dhanush !! Actor, producer, singer, lyricist and screenwriter... Dhanush celebrates his birthday today (born Venkatesh Prabhu Kasthuri Raja on 28 July 1983). Dhanush debuted in the film Thulluvadho Ilamai, followed by his brother Selvaraghavans first directorial venture, Kadhal Kondaen which gained critical acclaim and also became a major commercial success, thereby launching Dhanush into the main foray of actors in Tamil films. 2011 was a hit year for Dhanush which saw his movie Aadukalam gain highly positive reviews and went on to win six awards at the 58th National Film Awards, with Dhanush bagging the National Film Award for Best Actor and became the youngest actor to win that award. 2011 also saw the release of the song Why this Kolaveri Di...the lyrics penned and sung by Dhanush with music by Anirudh Ravichander. The song became the most searched video in India and an internet phenomenon across Asia. The songs video was honored by YouTube with a Recently Most Popular Gold Medal Award and a Trending Silver Medal Award for receiving a large number of hits in a short time. The video is currently at 82,468,050 views. Dhanushs 25th film, (VIP) VELAI ILLAA PATTATHAARI is currently being screened in South Africa.
