Happy Birthday(belated) to our dad who passed away many yrs.ago,Willie Ervin Sr.I remember the following about our father: He was a faithful member of Palmetto Baptist Church,Darlington S.C. He placed his children,Willie Jr.(Donnie,Juicy),Buquilla,Harrison,James,first. He was a hard working Plumber. He loved to cook cat fish stew and breakfast. He insisted that we sang Christmas songs and prayed before opening Christmas presents. I can picture him now,on his knees and praying very early in the mornings. He was a strong advocate for his children in the community and at school. I remember our father in a suit and making sure we dressed neatly in order to see Religious movies,such as Charlton Heston,Moses. I remember the discussions about his participation in the Army and World War Two. He along with our mom were quietly doing their best to make sure we reached some sort of higher goals. Our father loved his grandchildren so much.
