Happy Birthday to my 6th Great Grandfather Isaac Mason, Sr. Isaac - TopicsExpress

Happy Birthday to my 6th Great Grandfather Isaac Mason, Sr. Isaac was a shoemaker by trade and lived in Rehoboth for some years after his marriage. About 1706, he removed to Swansea where he probably erected the house, still standing, which by tradition was his home. He was chosen Deacon of the Second Church of Swansea soon after its organization in 1693 and continued in that office until his death. He was undoubtedly buried in his family burial lot, near his home on the north side of Swansea, not far from the present Hortonville post office, but his grave is unmarked. His wife, Hannah, was living when his will was made in 1741, but the date of her death is unknown. Happy Anniversary to my 2nd Great –Grandparents , Alexander H. Wright and Catharine A. (Crowder) Wright. Much can be found on Catharine’s family, including data from “Early Settlers of Sangamon County”, but little can be found on Alexander H. Wright. He has only been found in the 1870 Census as born about 1843 in NY. Catherine is a widow in 1900, so one day he must have come out of a cornfield, married Catherine, had one son, and then one day gone back into a corn field, never to be seen or heard from again.
