Happy Birthday to my 98 year-young grandfather. Here, he recites his poem, Centerline. with Lee Lee Blakeney, William Clay, Robert Canion, Heather Heather Blakeney, Marlene Blakeney, Jeffrey Canion, Heather Canion Crabtree, Shona Tryon When I started down lifes highway, ticking off these miles and time The endless road before me, had no centerline. I passed many points of interest and things Id planned to do. I was always in a hurry and had to drive straight through. When I was half-way though this journey and I checked this map in my mind, I suddenly discovered there was no centerline. And the many things of interest that I planned to do someday, Ive lost . . . gone forever, for this road goes just one way. Robert Edward Canion (October 13, 1916)
