Happy Birthday to my Beautiful and Smart daughter Kellee Dione Miller Nazaire! A perfect duplicate of her father and me!!! On November 15th, 6:28am, 1977. At Harlem Hospital, NYC. My beautiful bundle of Joy came into this world. She came into this world with happy people around her. We were a close knitted Belizean bunch on the block, most of us were Illegals but we all held down jobs. We were baby sitters, house cleaners, factory workers, doormen, laundry mats , handymen, and the more fortunate one worked in the hospitals. I worked at a sewing factory off 138th St. in the Bronx. The Jew man was the Boss, the Latinos and we blacks sewed all day and night too, if you wanted. I was full of cash from my two JOBS. My rent for my studio was $25. per week. and I made about $225. per week after taxes with 2 jobs. I had no family here. I sent money home and saved like crazy under my mattress. Since I was afraid to go on unemployment because I was Illegal. My boss told me to go for 2months after I gave birth, I was not going to get anything free!!! So I had my Savings!!! $4,000. and was HAPPY!!!! My due date was Nov 15th, I said, dame, why cant my baby come on 24th,Thanksgivings day so I could get that long weekend pay. I told my friends baby not coming on no due day, dont worry about me!!! Well. they ignored me, one of my girl friend Eleanor Trapp, decided and came anyway to sleep at my place on 14th Night. I got home at 11pm from my money making jobs! I said, let me take my shower, well as I was about to get out the tub, I felt a little belly pain and water was running down my feet! I was frighten!! I screamed for Elenor and she was frighten too. Eleanor said, Oh my God I do not know to deliver no baby, please Lord not now! She grab my clothes, she got on the phone, Called Bernadine, Bar, Goe, Emeline and the whole block knew, I was in Labor! We could not get a cab at 12:30am so the big crowd walking with me to the hospital! They tried to stay but the doctors at Harlem was having it. I could hear from where I was. Listen, she is going to be fine! She is only having a baby! Go home! Go sleep! You guys dont have work in the morning? They were my family when I need them! My Belizean sisters and brothers, we were in a foreign land and we felt each others pain!!! . Yes, my friends, Us Belizeans on the block at 140th Street between Edgecomb Ave and St. Nicholas were a family!!! The legal one looked out for the Illegals! So when these Republicans and other evil people say evil things about Illegal immigrants, I am totally against them! Dont forget where you come from!!! Look how far me an Illegal Immigrant has Come!!!! If you are an Illegal Immigrant, dont get depress and let the evil people win! You dont get anything for free! If your children get because they were born here! They have a right to get it, they were born here just like these Republicans! Yes, as I said before, the Republicans were nonce Immigrants too.
