Happy Birthday to the late GREAT Bernie Mac!!! Bernie Mac got his start in show business at the place where I used to work as a staff photographer, The Cotton Club, which was on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. I didnt get a chance to really know Bernie because the week that he was signed was the same week damn near the whole staff was fired (including myself), but Chick Rogers was a regular at the club (so talented) and it is nice to see here how Bernie reached back after he became big and tried to get her exposed. Most of the people I know, who knew him, say that this was the kind of guy he was, even though there are a few stories that paint him in quite the opposite fashion as well.
