Happy Birthday today (June 15) to singer, songwriter & keyboardist Steve Walsh, best known for his work as a member of American progressive rock band Kansas; he sang lead on the groups four best-known hits, all radio staples of the 70s - Carry On Wayward Son, Dust in the Wind, Point of Know Return & All I Wanted, the last two of which he also co-wrote; he left Kansas after 1980s Audio-Visions album due to philosophical differences with primary songwriter Kerry Livgren, but returned to the fold when the group reunited in 1986 & has remained a member since; as a solo artist, he released such albums as Schemer-Dreamer (1980), Glossolalia (2000) & Shadowman (2005)…
