Happy Black Friday everyone. Now that Thanksgiving is over, its officially time for Christmas. Which reminds me of my re-visitation of a Christmas classic (shout-out to Jan Mader, since she originally inspired me to compose and post this on her BlogSpot page). Please enjoy. Twas the Night before Christmas And all through the mall The shoppers were frantic Making a haul. Theyre running through Macys. And Pennys and Gap Loading their baskets With all sorts of (* stuff *). When down by the staircase, There arose such a clatter, Security ran to see What was the matter. Down by the escalator What should appear, But a Redneck from Wal-Mart Drinking a beer. On Grandma, On Grandpa, On Uncle Willie, Buy something for Suzy And something for Billie Buy stockings for Mama And a hubcap for Dad! Theres no place like Wal-Mart For savings to be had! He shook when he laughed And looked with a grin, Took a swig of his beer, And wiped off his chin. The mall cops arrived, And he jumped in his truck, Finished his beer, And starteder up. He chased the cops twice Round the parking lot with glee, Then rounded the corner, And tore down the street. And as he was leaving, We all heard him call: Celebrate Christmas... But not at the mall!
