Happy Christmas Eve!! So, I made the mistake of recording The Great American Light Fight. Which I think is a horrible name and would prefer something more positive like Holiday Light Celebration. Or even Great Christmas Light Competition, since there doesnt seem to be anyone really wishing others to lose, which fight implies. After watching it last night, Sweetie turned to me and said, I think we ought to go back to making those big displays. (Which took us months of work!) We did get parents bringing their kids, which is why we started doing it, because we always loved driving around looking at light displays when our son was young. So, worse yet, Im admittedly tempted. An aside...During the 13 years we lived in TN, wed always go to Nashvilles Opryland Hotel during the holidays and stay in one of these balcony rooms so we could sit and look out over the magical world. If you live ANYWHERE in the South -- or the U.S. for that matter -- you must go at least once. As much as I loved Christmas as Opryland, if Sweetie has THIS in mind, Im out. Merry, merry to all!
