Happy Christmas Eve my lovelies! I have seen so many amazing posts this evening of people sharing Christmas wishes and that magic bit of Christmas Sparkle as they sit waiting for Santa to come and bestow gifts and magic upon their children and I feel all a-glow! I dont mind admitting that I have been feeling a little emotional today - I think the season and all that it brings finally caught up with me ... That and the fact that my amazing husband gave me the most amazing Christmas present today 😍 He has never been great at keeping secrets (not a bad thing!) and was too excited to see my reaction to wait until tomorrow. I will share it with you tomorrow so you can see exactly why it brought a tear to my eye ... A hugely personal and heartfelt gift! In the meantime, you may recall that last night I mentioned that Santa had made an early present stop at our house ... For at least the last six months, if not longer, I have been yearning for an electric upholstery tack nailer so that I could finally re-love some of the truly beautiful, and very plentiful, Victorian and Edwardian chairs ... And on Monday, Rudolph (aka Mr Dee) took me in his amazing sleigh (aka Landy) to get exactly that - and a glue gun to boot! Yipppeeeeeee! So, rather than work on the three pieces I needed to finish before Christmas, and rather than have the well-needed early night I had promised myself, I found myself up until 3.30am working on my first project of its kind ... And this is the result ... I absolutely love it and I hope you do too! This is the first of many unique and original chairs which I will share with you over the coming months, I am sure! I promised you photos of the second of my Christmas deliveries which I did, despite my upholstery diversion, finish and deliver yesterday but I dont have any yet - the lovely owner is going to take some once she has managed to get the piece into position, so keep your eyes peeled over the Christmas period - there will be plenty of Charlotte Dee gems to see 😀 Right, my lovelies, thats all from me on this beautifully magical Christmas Eve.
