Happy Emergency Nurses week to all my fellow ER nurses. There is nothing in the whole world I would rather do. As I think back I am humbled to be able to do what I do. I have been there when life has been welcomed into the world, held a hand of a terrified child, I have felt the smile of the confused mom mom, I have seen the hope in someones face, I have unfortunately seen life slip away. I have laughed, smiled Ive thought WTF, and yes Ive cried many times. I and anyone else in this field thinks Im gonna write a book someday but nobody would believe it or you just cant make this s#&$ up. I always say I was born an ER nurse I truly believe that and I truly feel so blessed to do what I do.
