Happy Ending - 12/5/2014 What a great update on Mr. Deacon - after seven months at the shelter, sounds like he hit the jackpot with his new mom and dad Deacon is doing well! Still the silly boy and loves his toys and his new home. He is secluded but in a very big room so he loves chasing after the red pointer in there :) He has no issues with a cold. He is eating well and drinking water. He is very used to us now and loves to cuddle on our bed at night. He wants to be with us now as much as our house cat Sushi. So my husband and I take turns sleeping in different rooms to give them both company! There is a glass door separating our house cat from Deacon so they do see other occasionally. There was some hissing for the first few days because Sushi was startled by the playfulness of Deacon. Today is much better. Sushi is getting used to the idea of him, and we will keep working on that. Maybe in another week things will calm down. Will be sure to keep you all updated on our progress. Deacon is such a love bug and brings so much joy and silliness!
