Happy Friday Everyone! We had such great feed back about our last post regarding German Silver, we thought you might want to know about Indian Silver (the country India, not the American Southwest). Often people will come into the store with their silver pieces and ask us to check it out for them. The color/sheen is usually what throws people off when they pick up Indian Silver. Understandably. Indian silver does have an unusual look to it. Indian Silver has a flatter look to the sheen because of the composite used in the smelting process. It does not mean that it is any less valuable, it is simply a matter of preference for the wearer. And always remember, look for the sterling stamp or (925) to be sure. Happy Friday and pre 4th of July weekend! We will be closed next Friday to celebrate the 4th, but the good news is that we will be having an amazing in-store sale on the 5th, 6th and 7th!
