Happy Friday! Its going to be a sunny, warm, and stuffy end to the week today thanks to a tropical air mass that continues to work its way into the region along with some bright sunshine that will push the mercury well into the 80s. Expect some pockets of thick fog at first with sunshine taking over late in the morning and for most of the afternoon. There may be a few spotty showers in north Iowa this afternoon, otherwise look for sunshine and light winds with high temps in the mid 80s. Heat indices will be around 90. Well have some areas of fog tonight and lows near 70. Saturday looks like another warm, muggy day with scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon and evening with highs in the low to mid 80s. Sunday looks breezy, hot, and humid with sunshine and highs in the upper 80s to near 90 and perhaps a couple of isolated evening storms. Heat indices Sunday will be 95-100. Temperatures will cool to the upper 70s and low 80s next Monday through Wednesday with showers and thunderstorms each day. Later in the week, well enjoy sunny skies, less humidity, and highs in the mid 70s. Have a great weekend!
