Happy Friday Twin Tiers! Snow showers and flurries have developed - TopicsExpress

Happy Friday Twin Tiers! Snow showers and flurries have developed throughout the Twin Tiers this morning. Expect for them to diminish throughout the day and we will be left with just mostly cloudy skies for the afternoon hours. The Five Degree Guarantee for today is 34. Skies turn partly cloudy going into this evening as low temperatures will dip into the upper teens. Starting off the weekend we will see mainly cloudy skies Saturday morning before snow showers and a mixed bag of precipitation moves into the region Saturday afternoon. Expect the precipitation to start out as snow showers and then a sleet and freezing rain mixture before transitioning to all rain overnight Saturday and into Sunday. Rain showers will continue throughout Sunday with mild high temperatures. Highs on Sunday should top out in the mid 40s. Then the rain showers should switch to snow showers late on Sunday as a cold front passes through. This cold front will allow for cold temperatures to make a return. Temperatures will drop about 20 degrees from Sunday’s high temperature. Expect highs next week to be in the low 20s and upper teens. Scattered snow showers and flurries are possible next week, especially on Tuesday and into Wednesday because of a clipper that is forecasted to move through. Winds will also be quite breezy early next week with gusts upwards of 30 and even 40 mph. Be sure to tune into WENY News at Noon, 5:30, 6 and 11 for your latest First Warning Weather Forecast. Have a great weekend, Ryan Belz
