First up is a Sparks Ark live animal show, followed by a Kids on the Block puppet show. Let the animals and puppets inspire you to create your very own mitten puppets this afternoon! Then, think cold and learn all about glaciers in Glaciation Station. Heres all the info: Sparks Ark Live Animal Show (R$) | 11am-12pm Join wildlife rehabilitator Josh Sparks to meet some truly amazing live animals and hear some awesome stories of animal rescue! Past animal presentations have included a fuzzy chinchilla, an owl and a flying squirrel! Reservations highly recommended. $4/person plus admission. For tickets call 828-1234 x231 or stop by the front desk. Kids on the Block Puppet Show | 12:30pm Our troupe of life-size educational puppets is back with real stories just like real kids! Kids on the Block is a nationwide program using Bunraku-style puppetry as a way to break down boundaries and accept individual differences. Free with admission. For more information, please call 828-1234 x 247. Mitten Puppets (R$) | 1:30-2:30pm Well provide the mittens, and you provide the inspiration! Were transforming basic mittens into animals by adding googly eyes, ears, tongues, antlers - you name it! What will you make? Cat? Reindeer? Fox? Dino? Each participant will receive a set of mittens and choose from a selection of adornments to affix, creating creative mitten puppets.
