Happy Halloween from the Phillips Family. Youll notice that Catie Michelle is in a little lamb costume with 490 on it.... The backstory to that is when the nurses and doctors at the Childrens Hospital in Augusta began to learn about the ECMO machine, thats what they practiced on.... Lambs... They would ultimately sacrifice those lambs to save the babies.... Although using the ECMO machine to keep them alive..... Therefore the lamb became the mascot for this unit and the babies who were saved by the machine. Catie being 490.... The 490th baby saved by ECMO and this staff since they started in 1986.... So again.... Fitting that my little lady wears this outfit to honor all those who gave her life back to her/us in April of this year....
