Happy International Womens Day! At Living Wood Design, were passionate about empowering women and girls. We give a minimum of 10% from every sale to the non profit program that we started in Honduras. Our program supports health and education programs for women and children in rural areas in Honduras, and since 2006 we have run a scholarship program for Mayan high school students. Were proud of the girls who have graduated from our program-they are brave and resilient, especially in a society where the majority of girls are married and having children as teenagers, many as young as 14.
