Happy Labor Day yall! For Motivational Monday we want you all to meet Inga Steyn. A phrase we hear a lot Im happy with my body, I dont need to workout! Here is a prime example of no matter what body type you have, there is always room for physical improvement. Lets not forget about the mental advantages too. Health crack addict right here. Follow her on Instagram : @mzzdale She made a commitment for 30 days to complete this challenge and just look at her results!! Six pack... We see you! Congrats girl on your hard work. Read her story below! Trim. Tone. Transform... Be Hungry for results!!!!! 1) Did you change your diet? What did you cut out? I started choosing alternatives. For example, replacing hummus with mayonnaise, sweet potato instead of white potato, brown rice instead of white rice etc and I added more fruit and vegetables into my diet. Before I never really took note of what I was eating or how the foods I was eating was not very nutritious. Sometimes I would deliberately remove the vegetables from my dinner and only eat fruit once in a while. I started reading the back of packaged food and avoided buying anything with additives or artificial flavors in it. Fast food became non-existent and so did white bread. 2) Were the ab workouts challenging? At first they were easy because you start off with only a few of each exercise but as the days go on and the quantity increases, it definitely became more challenging. I did find the leg raises to be the most challenging. Once it reached over 50, I had to take breaks in between. The planking became more challenging towards the end, especially on the last day. I was so proud when I held a planking position for 2 minutes. 3) Do you feel different? I do. I view my body as temple and by taking care of it, you give thanks to your creator. It’s definitely a spiritual journey as well as a physical one. When you love your body, you take care of it and you genuinely want what’s best for it. I would say that I’ve gone through a mind shift. I’ve never really felt one with my body and I’m amazed at what your body can do for your mental health. Now when I eat, I consciously think about what I am eating and what a blessing it is to my body. I have more energy at work and I’m definitely less lazy than what I was. 4) Besides your physical changes, did you have any other changes? My attitude towards healthy eating and fitness as changed. It’s definitely not an option, it’s a way of life. It’s necessary and very important for your body. I’ve trained myself to be disciplined. When you repeat something for 30 days you subconsciously teach yourself to add a certain routine to your lifestyle. 5) Beachbody programs all include ab workouts, would you recommend Beachbody programs to anyone? Yes! It’s good to incorporate other exercises with the abs challenge. At times, you really don’t feel like doing it but once you get going and you complete the day, it’s an accomplishment.
