Happy Monday It looks like My Eternal Family Tree is making our presence known in the industry. I got a call, late last night from a compeditor accusing me (among other things) of stealing his ideaand plagiarizing his tree information from his website. Then, this morning I log onto the computer to find nasty messages plastered all over my pages from the same fellow along with my home address and threats. I have chosen to take the high road, because (contrary to your accusation) THAT is how I do business sir... My response to him was as follows: I have stolen nothing from XXXX, (name withheld to avoid embarrassing him) ... there are several other companies besides mine who offer a biodegradable urn that grows a tree. If you look more carefully, youll realize that your product and mine are very different. Our tree descriptions are similar, but by no means plagiarized. In doing my product research and development, I may have read something that I felt described a tree beautifully, and may have used similar terminology, but by no means did I steal anything from you. Why dont you concentrate on growing your business and be confident in the fact that you and I offer a valuable product and service that many people will appreciate and value. Finally, I didnt appreciate your call at 10 pm last night with your accusations, and would appreciate it if you could control yourself in future.
