Happy Monday! Lets talk about sleep! Yes, I know, it is Monday - TopicsExpress

Happy Monday! Lets talk about sleep! Yes, I know, it is Monday morning and we are setting our intentions for the week ahead; and here I am reminding you of your comfy bed. The reason that I am doing this is because I have been suggesting a new way to sleep to many of you lately. I am seeing multiple clients who have some serious forward rotation with their shoulders. When our shoulders roll forward in such a way, our pectoralis muscles become shortened and super tight; this scenario adds to the forward-rolling and will pull your rhomboid muscles between your shoulder blades, over-stretching them and thereby creating more tension in your upper back. Lets stop adding to this upper body restricting, tightening and shortening! So I am here to gently remind you of a good sleeping technique to help alleviate some of those tight shoulders and upper back pain. I know that many of you have received my infamous pec release techniques that are not so comfortable, but oh so helpful! I have noticed that almost immediately your pecs have released in such a way that the back of your shoulders are actually touching the table again, as they were meant to do. I am sharing with you a link to an enthusiastic doctor who is showing us a couple of proper sleeping techniques that I have shared with you in person. Lets continue to move forward by keeping your pecs open with proper sleeping techniques and stretching them regularly. Lets say Yes! to staying open and expanding into our bodys best alignment, health and well-being. It feels good to feel good! I trust you will all have a wonderful week! I look forward to connecting with you again soon! Until then, Be Well, Have fun and Keep it real! Kristy Lloyd, LMT 512-743-3946
