Happy Monday, Nutheads! Its Christmas week, yall! The Nuts are coming off an incredible weekend with three performances in the New Orleans area. On Friday, we were back at Latrobes On Royal for the very festive wedding of Brittany and Jason! We had a bunch of country music fans, so we broke out a few country classics - even some Johnny Cash! Great times! Thank you for having The Nuts! On Saturday, The Nuts performed at The JW Marriott for Danielle and Jasons wedding (**note: thats ANOTHER Jason, the same guy did not get married twice in the same weekend. Had to clear that up). We started the festivities at Church Of The Immaculate Conception as we kicked off the 2nd line with the incredible Pocket Aces Brass Band. The 2nd line shut down Canal Street, bringing out locals and tourists alike to see the show! The Pocket Aces jammed all the way from the church, down Canal Street, INTO the JW Marriott, UP two flights of stairs (carrying drums and Tubas), and into the 3rd story room where The Nuts were waiting to kick things off. This group came ready to party. The brides preference was mainly Top 40 material - no typical wedding songs. We were happy to oblige and the dance floor stayed packed all night! Thank you so much for having us! On Sunday, after watching a horrible Saints game, The Nuts were on stage at Mid-City Rock N Bowl performing for The Archdiocese of New Orleans! The Teen Cross party is an event weve playing for years. John Smestad of The Archdiocese has been one of our longest clients - going back to 2001. We thank him for his continued support and we thank the guys and girls of Teen Cross for being such a great audience. THE NUTS WILL RETURN TO ROCK N BOWL NEXT SUNDAY AT 8pm! The Nuts are proud to perform on December 28 - 16 years to the first day the band ever played at Rock N Bowl! It was quite a different event sixteen years ago, with the majority of the band still in high school! Sixteen years and a few thousand gigs later, The Nuts are still rocking and rolling - bringing a brand new show to our friends and fans in 2015!
