Happy Monday everyone! Well start off the week with plenty of clouds. A weakening area of low pressure will advance towards the area today bringing some drizzle and light rain into the first half of Tuesday. As this weaker system departs, we may catch a break in the action for the second half of Tuesday before the main round of rain moves through. The Christmas Eve storm, while overall it looks way less impressive than models earlier depicted, will still dump plenty of rain with gusty winds over the island. Were expecting around 2-2.5 by Christmas morning, though there could be some locally heavier amounts. For temperatures, we can expect highs today in the low to mid 40s, low 50s tomorrow, and pushing 60° Christmas Eve as we really get into the warm sector of that huge frontal system. We can also expect strong winds Christmas Eve into Christmas, with 15-25mph sustained with 50mph gusts possible. Needless to say, its not a pretty weather picture through Christmas morning. However, once the main system pulls away, high pressure will build in through late Friday and we will get a few nice weather days before another system rolls through Sunday. Plan ahead if you are traveling somewhere for Christmas. You may want to think about being at your destination by daybreak Christmas Eve, as the travel situation will be horrendous.
