My friend Adria Haley is an amazing woman with big dreams and an even bigger heart. She is a finalist for a scholarship to the MBA program at Lipscomb and with the knowledge shell gain, she will start a social enterprise focused on transforming not only the lives of the impoverished and destitute people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), but the entire global community. As she explains in her video, only 1-3% of the arable land within the DRC is being farmed. If farmed with the right sustainable practices, the unused land could yield enough crops to feed one third of the global population. Can you imagine that? I cant. Talk about mind-blowing! How can you not want to be a part of that? What do you do? Im glad you asked. The winner is being decided via online voting open to the public. You can vote once per day from any unique device at any unique location (i.e. if you wanted to, you could vote from your desktop computer at work, your phone at the coffee shop, your iPad at the bookstore, and your laptop at home all on the same day!).
