Happy Moon Landing Day! Forty-five years ago today, at 3:17:40pm EST, the lunar module Eagle landed on the Moon. At 9:39:33pm EST, the first EVA on the surface of another world began. 16 minutes and 42 seconds later, at 9:56:15pm EST, Neil Armstrongs left boot made first contact with the lunar surface. His words, Thats one small step for [a] man...one giant leap for mankind, were recorded for posterity.
