Happy Mothers Day / Good Deed for the day all rolled up in one.... While on my morning 2 mile SUP paddle I came across a situation where I heard the calls of distress and panic but just couldnt tell what it was. Along the steep banks of the resaca in a thicket of trees were various cries ... Then through the woods I could see a Mama Dog worried with no Idea what to do... I slowed down to try to see where the puppies were, sure enough, they had fallen in the water over the bank, crying and shivering cold. So I got on land and went through the thick brush and literally got on my stomach in the mud and reached over and plucked three puppies out of the water. With one more cry left I literally almost fell in to try to reach the last one who was in a cave. I returned all of them to the rest of the litter of about 8 or 9 in all.. Im all scratched up and muddy all over but It felt good to save them from a likely bad day. Pictures to follow ... Feliz dia de las Madres ! :)
