Happy New Year Everyone! We had a great Xmas and Sophia was able to get over her cold and remained healthy for the entire break! (Although prior to break she had missed quite a bit of school due to cold after cold). Its been a long time since she was actually healthy during the Xmas season so that was the best gift we could have received! The kids were spoiled this Xmas by so many people from all over! A huge thank you to the extended family of the Moores as Nicoles family sponsored Sophia and she received a pile of gifts!! We also need to thank the Zoo Family Daycare for the gifts they sent to Sophia!!!! She loves getting mail! We enjoyed the break and it was much needed for all of us, although Tony worked this year and is normally off we still got to have him home for a good amount of time! We did some skating, played some games, had an indoor snowball fight which was a hit, played a lot of cards (Go Fish and War!), did some baking, had a wonderful turkey dinner, spent lots of time with Nanny (Grandma) and great Grandma, were able to visit with friends and we had a few chill days in between! We rang in the New Year at home with some friends and family playing games and SHOCKING that Sophia was the only kid up to ring in the new year with us!! Night owl!!! We celebrated Nannys birthday on New Years Day by making dinner and dessert for her, which she enjoyed! Sophia started back to school on Jan 5 and so far has been having great days! We are in the process of slowly getting all her modifications in place and still somewhat battling for hygiene things, ie: soap dispensers in the bathroom, sanitizing stations around the school, etc. We had a brief check up this past Tuesday with Dr. Coe and he was pleased to see her. We did not undergo any tests so there is not a lot to report. Sophia is still breaking out in funny facial flushes every now and then and all we can chalk it up to is the high dose of IV meds she is on. We have been tracking it and so far have not found that these flushes have caused any negative reactions for her. So we continue to monitor her, do our best to keep her healthy and we go for a more in depth appt on January 26th so I am hoping to be able to report stability after that! We hope you all have started the new year off right, health and happiness and I will post in soon! The Ricci Fam xoxo
