Happy New Year! How did I spend my first morning of 2015, flying the drone out to an abandoned school known as Sleighton to give the camera a try. Bad thing was, today was way to windy. Gusts up to 25mph was making it harder for me to control it as I run it with GPS off. Plus me having to correct it a lot only got me 10 mins on the battery. However you dont notice this as the camera stabilizer does an excellent job. I flew about 100-200 yards out until i saw the dreaded turkey vultures starting to circle the air near it. I have seen many videos of larger birds going after these so i started heading back. I plan to go back soon to get some more farther footage on a less windy day. Here is just a 1 min sample of some footage I got today. I add music to it b/c it does not record sound and if it did, all you would hear is windy and the motors.
