Happy New Year ! May ALL Beings Be Happy and Free of Suffering! Ahhhhh! Few months ago now, Juniper Prajna my granddaughter (before she turned two) and I went up to Krotona Hill to walk the Sanctuary of Connection, where there is a Buddhist Stupa with the Great Six Syllable Mantra engraved on beautiful tiles around it, and also a real looking Lioness made of stone, which has the power to heal (or this is how the story goes), those whose names are whispered while rubbing her forehead: Touching the name of the Lioness, Speaking the name of one who suffers, Forming the connection to nature, Embrace healing powers. So we circumvallated the Stupa reciting Om Mani Padme Hung mantra, whispered few names while touching the Lioness forehead and sended love thoughts to her mother (my daughter Liz ), her father Chris, and of course to ALL Beings. About a month after, we went back there, and Juniper ran and climbed up at once on the Lioness platform and started to rub her forehead, whispering: love to mama, love to papa, love to Obi (her cat), love to Mimi and Penny (her goats), love to Goldie (her chicken), love to Nana (her grandmother), love to Waka Waka (her grandfather), love to Tati and Dana, (the other grandparents from Philadelphia)...Love to ALL Beings! I could not believe that she remembered, and that she went through all of the names, one by one, with such great attention span for that age! Whats even more amazing is the fact, that shes got the idea..that she KNOWS! Two years old...not even! And at the end she gave the Lioness a good kiss on her nose! Sending love thoughts to all beings hasnt been new to her though, since weve been doing this together for a long time: walking around whispering: love to all beings, love to all beings, love, love, love, ahhhhh! Here she is in action whispering the words, kissing the Lioness and reciting and the Om Mani Padme Hung mantra.
