Happy New Year, and snowy day! This Sunday, Rev. Rodkey plans to speak on Resolve: Destined. We will sing and pray, then commune during the Coffee Hour. Please join us. At this time, nobody has signed up to be the Worship Assistant, or to host Coffee Hour this Sunday. If you can help, please contact: Sharon Rodkey-Smith at: 325-0193 or sharonrodkeysmith@yahoo Lectionary Study will resume Wednesday, January 7, at the usual time: 10:00am-12noon. Not only is this a great opportunity to expand your understanding of the Bible from theologian/historian Rev. Rodkey, but also to spend quality time in a small group setting with other Bethany folks. Feel free to drop by any Wednesday; there is always coffee and goodies! Please join other Bethany folks in the last Future Church Project small group sharing session, after church Sunday, January 11. Your Bethany guiding team (aka Kris Cejka, Nate Brantingham, Sharon Smith, and Pam Praeger) for the Future Church Project invite and encourage you to join us in -- · reading the listening interview report (many of you were interviewed and a summary report has been generated from what was said) and sharing your thoughts, ideas, wishes as we consider three important questions that come from studying the report. How will you participate? · Stay after church January 11 to participate for about one hour (max) to be part of a small group; · meet and chat with each other and perhaps make new friends from within our congregation; and provide us with your wisdom, help, caring, and good will in continuing to do Gods work as Bethany Presbyterian Church. CONGREGATIONAL ANNUAL MEETING and POTLUCK will be after church Sunday, January 25. Please plan to stay for this very important gathering to hear about 2014, and plans for 2015. We need all of you! YOUTH NEWS Bethanys Youth Group will be meeting Thurs. January 8th at Bethany for some Holiday Fun playing Bingo and opening lots of surprises from 4-6pm! On January 22nd and 29th (weather permitting) we will be meeting in the youth room for food, fun and on-going discussions. He not only has qualified for the State DECA competition with the Cheney High team, but also took first in his weight division at the Eisenhower Mat Classic in Yakima recently, and was awarded “most outstanding wrestler” and “most valuable wrestler” of the tournament!!!
