Happy New Year everyone. I had a good thing happen on the way home tonight. Going 70 in a 65, I saw red and blue lights pop on behind me. Didnt even see the police officer going the other way. But he saw me and pulled me over. I had my registration, insurance card and drivers license out for him. Gotta hate having a car with manual windows. He walked up on the passenger side, to give me a verbal warning letting me know that one of my headlights was out and to get it fixed. I asked him if he was a Navajo Nation Officer, he affirmed that and I asked him where I could get a new headlight. I forgot all about NAPA auto parts. Well, I missed them by 25 minutes tonight. I will have to go down on Friday. That was very nice of him to pull me over and let me know with just a verbal warning that my headlight was out. I hadnt even noticed. It had to happen while I was in Gallup or on the way home, because I was around a lot of other police cars and it appeared at the gas station that I had two lights shining on the truck in front of me, but now I cannot be sure. Nice way to end the year, truly. He could have written me a ticket. He didnt. I will have to write a thank you to him and deliver it to the PD down the road.
